BIGKEYS ANNOUNCES A NEW COLOR CHOICE FOR THE POPULAR LX MODEL

BIGKEYS "LX BLACK KEYS" OFFERS A NEW OPTION FOR THE VISUALLY IMPAIRED.

CHARLOTTE, NC--October 10, 2001--Greystone Digital announces a new keyboard color option for its BigKeys LX keyboard: "LX Black Keys."

Greystone Digital's vice president, Dr. Frank Cartwright, pointed out that Dr. Jennifer Hensil O.D., M.S., a vision specialist, recently said that, "Most of my patients, when given the option between black on white or white on black letters, almost universally choose white letters on a black background. With glare and visual acuity issues, for most with low vision it is easier to discern a letter if it is white on black. "

All the familiar and popular features of the LX keyboard are still maintained in the new model, including the ability to shift from the "QWERTY" layout to "ABC" layout by sliding a switch on the back of the keyboard and changing the position of the keycaps. Word processing, Internet access, spreadsheet use, with no need for additional software, all remain as the hallmarks of BigKeys in the new "Black Keys" color option.

BigKeys LX has a 97-character keyset -- all the characters that are available on a standard (small key) keyboard. The unique LX design eliminates the confusing numeric keypad, and the seldom-used F11 and F12 function keys found on the standard small-key keyboard. Other unique BigKeys LX features are described on the Greystone Digital website: www.bigkeys.com. A link to AARP's evaluation of BigKeys LX is also available on the bigkeys.com site.

Mr. Wagstrom, president of Greystone Digital, confirmed that Greystone continues to produce and market the white-key and color-key versions of the BigKeys LX keyboard, along with their BigKeys Plus keyboard. "BigKeys Plus is the right model for young children and users with less advanced keyboard needs," he explained.

All Greystone BigKeys keyboards are compatible with all major software packages. No special software is required: the keyboard is just plugged into the computer in place of the regular keyboard.

Big Keys LX has a suggested retail price of $185; BigKeys Plus retails at $169. The new "Black Keys" LX model has the same price as the standard LX. Greystone Digital Inc. is based in Huntersville, NC, near Charlotte. Detailed keyboard descriptions and pictures can found at www.bigkeys.com.
